The friendlieness and helpfulness of all staff
Stayed here after a dinner with band and dancing afterwards. Good value for money, the room was quiet, we were not disturbed by any noise from downstairs or outside.
Beds could have been more comfortable, small bathroom.
close to centre secure parking easy access would stay agin
VEry disappointed about quality and cleanliness of the room and location. Had booked the Britannia for half the price and wish I had stuck with that booking instead. I am so disappointed that I feel like rquesting a refund and am cross with myself for not changing hotels on the night. I found the inclusion of the hotel on the mac website very misleading as it was no closer than the new street hotels.
This was a week end 2 night stay.Staff were welcoming and friendly especially towards the dog !.Room was very clean and well fitted and had an excellent view of the skyline from 2nd floor.Shower facilities were clean and very good.Unfortunately a little sign of a non compliant guest with a couple of cigarrette burns on tile ledge. The building is very grand was was perfect for our stay.We did not eat at the hotel but took advantage of the close proximity of a wide range of eating establishments in the city within about 10 mins walking distance.Bed very comfortable and room well heated.very good value for the price we paid £40 p.n plus £10 p n for the dog.
My only complaint was the steep charge for the dog.£5 p .n would have been more reasonable
I enjoyed the stay because the staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble.
It is better value for money in comparison with similar hotels in similar locations.Having a sheltered car park was very handy particularly on frosty mornings when one has to rush off to work.
No shower in my room (no 126) which wastes time and water when has to have a bath instead
We had to leave part way through the night due to our hotel room being haunted.
Lots. The room was small and cold, and we left half way through the night as it was haunted.
Quiet place for learning course.
The breakfast was not very well. You can choose from few products.
Very interesting building with a nice park nearby. On good bus route for city centre.
Did not like the very dark colour in the room as it was only a small single room. Would have liked to have been able to open the window at the top for some fresh air.
Good price £55. Close to Air. Friendly staff. Free parking spot right in front of hotel.
Plaster coming off the walls. Glass stuck to the tray! Somebodys pants left in the drawer! Felt a bit dirty.
Nice hotel, friendly staff, good breakfast, ideal location, nice room.
Interesting building dating from 1903. Good location within walking distance of city centre. Covered car parking was appreciated since it was pouring with rain. Comfortable bed with good quality bed linen. Plentiful choice of hot breakfast.
Bathroom could do with a bit of attention, though it was perfectly serviceable.
excellent staff , grand hotel design and facilities
Mostly the very polite and helpful staff.
